Tell us about your family.
I have two sisters, my parents and a dog and a pony. My parents are hilarious and do not even know it. They leave me messages on my voicemail that I keep just to laugh. My sister Lea is in the top four people who can make me laugh. I love the simplicity in which my sister Heidi lives. My dog, Foxy, is good friends with the pony, Licorice. He will jump on Licorice's back when he lays down. They nuzzle noses too.
How did you end up at New Life Church?
My senior year in High School I visited a friend at UofM. She brought me to New Life Church and I saw in the bulletin that New Life Church was all about relationships, love and acceptance. I was hooked. When I came to school at UofM a year later I joined a small group and never left.
Why are you still here?
I believe that I am living my dream. I love college ministry. It is my niche. I love great conversation, great questions and exploring God's Truth. This church has become a family to me and it excites me each year to see who God adds to this family. I love meeting new people and seeing lives touched by God's love and grace.
What do you do here?
I am a New Life Team Leader for HillEast and HillSide. This means I help oversee the small groups and train student leaders. I spend a lot of time in the dorms and in coffee shops talking about life and God. I also help women struggling with sexual addictions, help write the small group questions and coordinate Slices of Life for the sunday services.
